Principal Product Designer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Principal Product Designer to join their team and shape the product experience from the ground up. You’ll be responsible for crafting beautiful, intuitive, and high-impact designs for an AI-native application. As one of the first design hires, you’ll work directly with the founders, engineers, and customers to turn complex ideas into clear, delightful workflows. This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys ownership, and wants to build from zero to one. It’s an in-person role in San Francisco with a small startup that has raised over $5 million in seed funding.

What You’ll Do

• Own the end-to-end product design process from research, wireframes, and user flows to high-fidelity visuals and design systems.
• Collaborate closely with founders, engineers, and customers to define and refine product requirements.
• Design experiences that balance usability and business impact , especially for B2B users with complex needs.
• Establish and evolve the design language and brand identity of the product.
• Build feedback loops with users and drive a culture of design thinking across the company.
• Contribute to the overall product and company strategy as an early team member.
