POSITION SUMMARY : We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional post-anesthesia nursing care for a diverse group of patients across all age groups. In this role, you will utilize your nursing expertise in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver top-notch nursing care. You will also play a key role in supervising and guiding other PACU or pre-operative staff members. In the absence of the Manager of Patient Services or Manager of Surgical Services, you may be empowered to make impactful decisions within the PACU or pre-operative areas.\n\nEDUCATION : Must be a graduate of a NLN accredited school of professional nursing.\n\nCERTIFICATION / LICENSES : A current RN license in New Mexico or a current Compact state license is required. BLS Certification is mandatory within 2 weeks of your hire date. Additionally, ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within 6 months of your hire date.\n\nSKILLS : \n

Personal protective equipment will be provided and must be used.\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : The position may require lifting up to 50 pounds, or up to 150 pounds with assistance. Additionally, you may need to push or pull 150-300 pounds with help. The job demands medium physical activity, including standing or walking for the majority of the shift. Visual and auditory acuity, along with manual dexterity, are vital for executing your responsibilities effectively. Optimal auditory acuity and precise handling of equipment and instruments are also necessary. The work environment is clean, well-lit, and may expose you to unpleasant sights and odors, stressful situations, or hazardous / infectious agents, requiring sound judgment in determining appropriate precautions. Variations in climate control and ambient temperature may occur, influenced by patient care needs and surgical team requirements. Some exposure to limited radiation, hazardous chemicals, and infectious diseases is possible. Please note that hours of duty might be irregular or unexpectedly extended based on the demands of the surgical schedule.
