Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY2 pharmacy residency in health-system pharmacy administration or equivalent work experience. Description: The Manager of Regional Pharmacy directs all functions of the Pharmacy Operations for the assigned sites in a collaborative fashion. Oversight includes financial, operational, and quality components of those pharmacy sites. Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, quality assurance, and performance standards. Works as part of the pharmacy leadership team to formulate ideas, analyze problems, develop solutions, and plan operational activities. Establishes effective working relationships and maintains open lines of communication with medical staff. Maintains collaborative and cooperative communication and working relationships with all staff to ensure effective operations. Confers with information systems to develop computer programs for pharmacy information management systems, patient and department charge systems, and inventory control. Participates in various committees as directed. Performs human resource responsibilities for staff including interviewing, selection, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, and resolution of partner concerns. Ensures all pharmacy operation areas meet productivity, budgetary, partner engagement, and patient outcome targets by continually monitoring and adjusting plans as needed. Able to perform all duties of the pharmacy manager. Other job duties as assigned.
