Customer Service Representative
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our healthcare team in south Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves being a supportive and friendly voice in person and via phone, providing excellent service to our clients, and managing a variety of tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn new things and understand how their role contributes to the broader team. This position offers a contract to hire possibility.
Responsibilities :
- Handle between 20 and 40 calls from patients and case managers daily
- Accurately input orders into our order system
- Conduct follow-up on orders that may be delayed
- Review fee schedules to confirm benefit eligibility
- Submit and process authorizations to insurance companies
- Work proactively with management to define their career path
- Apply basic medical terminology knowledge in customer interactions
- Utilize customer service software for efficient service delivery
- Perform data entry tasks as needed
- Maintain electronic medical records in an organized and efficient manner
Requirements :
Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within a call center environmentExcellent understanding and application of customer service principlesProficiency in using customer service software and databasesAbility to accurately input and manage data, including numeric data entryBasic knowledge of medical terminologyExperience or familiarity with Electronic Medical RecordsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult customer situationsDemonstrated empathy and ability to build rapport with patients and their familiesAbility to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelinesWillingness to participate in ongoing training and development activities
