Fischer Family Dentistry is looking to add a new dental assistant to our evolving dental team. We are a general practice with procedures ranging from quadrant fillings to implant crowns.

Ideal candidate should be patient oriented and well organized with great attention to detail. Our goal here is to give each of our patients the most enjoyable experience while still maintaining a friendly and professional atmosphere. Communication and people skills are a must. Also, Teamwork is a large component of this position. It goes without saying that teamwork does indeed make the dream work and we are not trying to reinvent the wheel here.

Experience with Dentrix and digital x rays is preferred.

Dental Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet patients
• Review patient information and health history
• Taking any due x rays - digital
• Prepare instruments, equipment and materials per OSHA standards
• Chairside assisting during procedures
• Ability to prepare dental impressions and make temporary crowns
• Providing oral hygiene and post-operative instructions
• Sterilization of dental room and instruments
• Providing patient care and support
• Lab case tracking
• Accurate and detailed clinical notes
• Stocking and monitoring inventory

Dental Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

Proven experience as Dental Assistant

Fluent understanding of health & safety regulation ( OSHA and HIPAA)

Computer skills - Dentrix preferred

Excellent communication and people skills

Proficient understanding of dental hygiene procedures

Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

High school diploma, graduating from dental assisting school preferred.

X-Ray Certification : Meet all local and state requirements to operate radiography equipment.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $20-25 per hour

Expected hours : 30 – 35 per week
