American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in Oregon, requiring Epic charting proficiency and the ability to float between units.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work on the Labor and Delivery unit within a short term acute care hospitalNight shift schedule, working three 12-hour shifts from 18 : 00 to 6 : 30Floating required within the hospital and to nearby affiliated hospitalsEvery other weekend is requiredOn-call required only for low census situationsCare for laboring mothers and newborns using standards consistent with AWHONN guidelinesEpic is the charting system used and experience with this EMR is requiredMust wear any color scrubs; scrubs are provided for maternal child staffResponsible for labor and delivery patient care throughout the birthing processTravelers are expected to float between all affiliated facilities as neededMust complete required online modules before starting the assignment and annually thereafterMust commit to working at least three out of five major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)Minimal to no requested time off (RTO) is preferred; RTO beyond six days may delay considerationFirst time travelers are welcome to apply\n \n Requirements\n
Active OR RN license, or ability to obtain prior to start (pending license is accepted)At least 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experienceCurrent BLS certification requiredExperience using Epic EMR requiredMust provide two supervisory references from the last three years covering one year of employmentMust live at least 50 miles from the facilityMust have access to a vehicle for travel between facilitiesFormer permanent staff must wait at least three months before returning as a traveler\n Benefits\n
