Director of Data Center Operations

Join a leading global data center developer seeking a Director of Operations to enhance operational performance across various campuses. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, and readiness for upcoming site launches while promoting a robust safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop campus managers and site operations teams to strengthen operational capabilities.
  • Ensure operational consistency across multiple sites through effective maintenance, incident, and change management practices.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for campus managers while encouraging local problem-solving.
  • Oversee comprehensive campus go-live readiness, addressing staffing, processes, and budgets effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Delivery, Finance, Security, Supply Chain) to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
  • Cultivate strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term success.
  • Efficiently manage budgets while upholding high service quality standards.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in mission-critical MEP environments, preferably within hyperscale data centers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Strong expertise in incident and change management processes.
  • Proven track record of leading diverse, multi-site teams in dynamic environments.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
