Sanford USD Medical Center is seeking a BE / BC Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to join our group of three physicians in Sioux Falls.

Looking for a collaborative partner in a well-established

MFM practice

Physician call rotation

Full-time Part-time or Flexible schedule is available

With 3200 live births annually the practice promises to

be a rewarding one

The practice serves inpatient outpatient and outreach

needs

Services provided include detailed ultrasounds fetal

echocardiograms pre-pregnancy counseling Nuchal

Translucency CVS and genetic amniocentesis

The ultrasound department is AIUM accredited

Community practice with medical school affiliation and

opportunities for teaching medical students and

research if desired

Two genetic counselors and four APPs onsite

501(c)(3) institution that qualifies for public service loan

forgiveness program

Job Description

Maternal and Fetal Medicine Core Privileges includes the ability to perform history and physical examination admit evaluate diagnose provide consultation and treat adolescent and adult female patients with a multiple gestation pregnancy (3 or more) and medical and surgical complications of pregnancy such as maternal cardiac pulmonary metabolic and connective tissue disorders and fetal malformations conditions or disease.

Qualifications

M.D. or D.O. degree.

Experience can be demonstrated in one of the following ways : An applicant who has just completed fellowship shall provide his / her fellowship applicant who is not applying directly out of a fellowship shall provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where he / she currently has privileges showing his / her clinical activity for the past 24 months including numbers of procedures morbidity mortality infection rates and other complications. Applicant must be able to demonstrate active involvement in the clinical aspects of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in the past 24 months including the management of 25 deliveries or procedures (examples amniocentesis c-sections) with satisfactory quality data as measured by the hospitals defined quality review a quality profile is not available from the hospital(s) where the applicant currently has privileges documentation of the applicants hospital-based clinical activity for the past 24 months is required. Applicant must be able to demonstrate active involvement in the clinical aspects of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in the past 24 months including the management of 25 deliveries or procedures (examples amniocentesis C-sections) with satisfactory quality data as measured by the hospitals defined quality review education and experience may be required the more advanced the practice becomes.

Successful completion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program and Fellowship program in Maternal-Fetal Medicine accredited by the ACGME the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada. The Credentials Committee; Physician Executive or Medical Affairs Committee; and the Board of Directors or the Board of Governors may consider training at residency and fellowship programs accredited by organizations other than the by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as applicable. Those applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
