Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Ultrasound Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 12 / 01 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 10 hours, evenings, nights Employment Type : Travel Title : Ultrasound Technologist – General Location : Santa Rosa, CA Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Mid 4x10-Hour (2 : 00 PM – 11 : 30 PM); Variable evenings / nights (2 PM–11 : 30 PM or 10 : 30 PM–7 AM) Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Float : Yes, between hospital and outpatient center Description : The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound exams in general, OB / GYN, vascular, neonatal, and small parts imaging. Responsibilities include preparing patients, operating ultrasound equipment, acquiring high-quality images, and assisting with ultrasound-guided procedures. The technologist ensures accurate documentation, maintains equipment, and provides patient care in compliance with professional and hospital standards. Job Responsibilities and Requirements : Perform a variety of ultrasound exams : abdominal, OB / GYN (1st–3rd trimester, fetal anatomy), vascular (arterial / venous, carotid, renal duplex), neonatal (head, ventricles, bone lengths), and small parts (breast, thyroid, testicular). Conduct ultrasound-guided biopsies, paracentesis, and fine needle aspirations. Utilize GE ultrasound systems and PACS for imaging and record management. Work in multiple settings including adult, pediatric, NICU, PICU, and emergency departments. Maintain professionalism, patient safety, and effective workflow in a busy environment (approx. 8–10 cases per day). Teaching and community hospital experience preferred. Float between hospital and outpatient center as needed.
