Job Description

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and test suites for web, API, and mobile applications.

Collaborate closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure quality is built into every phase of the SDLC.

Derive and manage detailed test plans, including scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.

Define and implement QA processes, standards, and best practices aligned with Agile / DevOps methodologies.

Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing using both manual and automated techniques.

Own the test strategy and ensure test coverage aligns with project requirements and business priorities.

Create and manage reusable test data and maintain automation scripts in version control systems (e.g., Git).

Proactively identify, log, and track defects; perform root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.

Work closely with developers to debug issues and verify fixes, ensuring timely closure of defects.

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, and Retrospectives.

Integrate automated testing into CI / CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

Generate structured test execution reports and quality metrics for leadership and project stakeholders.

Continuously evaluate emerging tools, technologies, and frameworks to improve test efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

Minimum 6–8 years of experience in software testing, with at least 4 years in test automation or SDET roles .

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology , or a related field (BE / BTech); a post-graduate or management degree is a plus.

Strong experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or Pytest).

Proficiency in at least one programming / scripting language : Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# .

Experience in API testing and automation using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate .

Exposure to CI / CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and version control (Git).

Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile / Scrum methodologies .

Hands-on experience with test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, or TestRail.

Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling) and / or security testing basics is a plus.

Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred certifications : ISTQB, CSTE, or Selenium WebDriver Certification .

(Preferred) Experience in the Airline or Travel industry and familiarity with domain-specific testing scenarios.

Requirements

Required Qualifications :

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in automating infrastructure with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Strong expertise in architecture and implementing high-performance, fault-tolerant infrastructure solutions that meet stringent latency, availability, and uptime requirements.
  • Solid experience in configuring and managing load balancers, IAM Roles, EC2 instances, auto scaling groups, API management tools, and caching technologies.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker for containerized deployments.
  • Experience with application and infrastructure security principles and best practices.
  • Have a proven ability to delegate work effectively while maintaining oversight.
  • Experience in a high-growth environment is a plus. Bonus points for :
  • Experience working with Windows based systems in AWS.
  • Experience using PowerShell in a production environment.
  • Strong experience with Git lab CI.
  • Experience with VMC on AWS.
