Title : Sr. Backend Automation Engineer

Location : Rosemead, CA

Required Skills :

7+ years of hands on experience designing, building and maintaining test automation solutions across multiple platforms using a variety of tools and frameworks

Highly proficient in testing and building test automation for desktop applications, APIs, packaged applications, and custom applications

Recent hands on experience with one or more programming languages and SQL. (Understanding of relational databases, has the ability to programmatically read / write from the DB using medium complexity SQL queries, comfortable designing and updating relational database structures, etc.).

Strong knowledge of API architecture and expertise in the functional and non-functional testing of APIs and services using both SOAP and REST protocols.

Strong knowledge in testing strategies, test automation approaches, and knowledge of how to mature automation frameworks work

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate and articulate to stakeholders and management across multiple business functions.

Nice to have

Prior exposure to or experience automating tests using Tosca,

Experience with integrating automation into CI-CD pipelines within large, complex environments.

Experience in the utility industry or a similar type of environment.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
