Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a WA or compact license and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a Level II Trauma Center

Short-term acute care setting with 32 staffed beds in L&D

Night shift schedule : four 12-hour shifts per week, 19 : 00–7 : 30

No on-call responsibilities

Patient care includes vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&Cs, postpartum tubal ligations, inductions, antepartum observations, water births, and more

Must float within scope to meet facility needs as required

Uses Epic EMR, OBIX, and Stork systems

Orientation sessions are held bi-weekly on Mondays

Provide comprehensive care to laboring and postpartum patients, including monitoring, triage, fetal surveillance, IV hydration, and management of specialized cases such as placental abnormalities

Work within a collaborative team environment in a high-volume unit averaging over 300 births per month

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Free parking is available for employees

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Holiday coverage may be required depending on unit needs

Required to list all time-off or schedule requests prior to contract signing

Requirements

Active WA or compact RN license required; pending license accepted with proof of application

Minimum 2 years of L&D experience, or 1 year if also experienced in Mother / Baby

At least 2 completed travel assignments required

One year of Epic EMR experience required

Ability to start and maintain peripheral IVs

Not open to local candidates (must live more than 60 miles away)

COVID vaccination required (booster not required)

No more than one DUI for background consideration

Candidates previously employed by this health system must have a one-year separation

Must be able to provide 2 recent professional references including one supervisor or charge nurse reference
