Job Description :

As a Forklift Operator, you will safely operate a forklift to move and organize materials within the warehouse, load and unload trucks, and maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system. You will play a key role in supporting production schedules and ensuring that materials are handled efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities for the job include :

• Operate a forklift to move materials and control lifting apparatus
• Conduct daily inspections of the forklift before use
• Fill and maintain propane tanks and forklift accessories
• Review production schedules and communicate with supervisors to determine material requirements
• Track overdue materials and monitor material delivery dates
• Verify material conformance to specifications
• Coordinate in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules
• Maintain manual or computerized records of inventory and material status
• Transport materials between departments as needed
• Ensure accurate movement and storage of materials
• Arrange for repair and assembly of materials or parts when necessary
