Retail Associate Cashier

The Phenix City retail store is currently looking for a hard-working and dedicated Retail Associate Cashier. Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc.'s Retail Associate Cashier responsibilities include ensuring that each guest receives outstanding customer service, assisting customers with purchases and pricing, operating the cash register system and applying basic math skills, understanding item pricing and "color of the week," maintaining the sales floor and dressing room appearance, asking customers to "Round-Up" totals in support of the mission and / or scholarship programs, meeting or exceeding daily retail store goals, and working other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.

You will be hired as a Retail Associate Cashier, however, you will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work all areas of the retail operation. A full-time position averages 38-40 hours per week. Hours will fluctuate based on business needs (i.e., seasonal changes, donation volumes, etc.). Operating days will fluctuate based on store location. The Retail Associate Cashier must be available to work any shifts Monday through Sunday.

Requirements include being at least 18 years of age, having a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), possessing basic math skills, having prior experience working in a retail or customer service-related environment, and having 1 year of cash handling experience, preferred. Warehouse experience is also preferred.
