Clinical Laboratory Supervisor - Toxicology

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to join our team in Raritan, NJ.

In this position, you will work in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at Labcorp : "Improving Health, Improving Lives".The Toxicology Technical Supervisor will oversee the operational and technical activities for the day-to-day functioning of the Raritan Toxicology department for MDM / MAT testing.

Qualified individual should be knowledgeable in all areas and functions of the Toxicology labs.

The individual in this position will need strong leadership and communication skills and be able to motivate, encourage, and mentor other employees in the department.

• Pay Range : $90,000 - $120,000All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees / certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Work Schedule : Monday - Friday (9 : 00am - 5 : 30pm)Benefits : Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including : Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD / LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise the day to day operations of the Toxicology departmentEnsure laboratory tests are accurately performed and results are reported in a timely mannerDirectly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel of the departmentMonitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate assay coverageResponsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffedResearch and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessaryEngage in continuous process and service level improvementsEnsure all equipment is being properly maintained through Quality ControlPrepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documentsEvaluate new process improvements and make appropriate recommendationsMeet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their developmentPerform bench work as needed and maintain proficiency / competency in technical operationsEnsure all work is in accordance with state and Federal regulationsResponsible for administering and managing policies and proceduresProcess and maintain payroll and personnel filesPerform administrative duties as needed RequirementsBachelors degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or a non-traditional Bachelors degree that meets local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirementsMinimum 4 years of experience as a Technologist; preferably in ToxicologyPrevious Toxicology experience including extraction preparation work and data analysis for LC-MS / MS, GC-MS / MS, HPLC and / or GC is preferredPrevious supervisor / leadership experience is highly preferredASCP or AMT certification is preferredStrong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulationsUnderstanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresProficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft OfficeStrong communication skills; both written and verbalHigh level of attention to detail with strong organizational skillsComfortability making decisions in a changing environmentAbility to handle the physical requirements of the positionIf you're looking for a career that offers opportunities for growth, continual development, professional challenge and the chance to make a real difference, apply today!Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer : Labcorp strives for inclusion and belonging in the workforce and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
