Assistant Manager Plant Operations
The Assistant Manager of Plant Operations supports the Plant Operations Manager in the day-to-day leadership of warehouse activities. This role supervises warehouse staff, manages driver schedules and truck loading, and ensures operational flow and compliance. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for conducting inspections, overseeing audits, managing employee overtime, and assisting in public relations and safety matters.

Essential Job Duties
Ensure trucks are loaded properly and reloaded if necessary.Create and adjust schedules and reroute deliveries as needed.Walk the warehouse floor daily to maintain visible leadership.Monitor crew morale and address immediate needs.Conduct cleanliness inspections and operational compliance audits.Review Will Calls, customer transfer orders, and stock transfers.Contact vendors for repairs or maintenance services.Monitor and order warehouse supplies as needed (e.g., chains, gloves, tools).Review drivers' logs and ensure DOT and inspection compliance.Pick up finished orders and coordinate with shipping on outgoing materials.Monitor workflow to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.Manage and monitor employee overtime and approve timesheets.Check stock and Will Call orders as needed.Facilitate repair calls for company trucks and contracts.Ensure employee safety standards are maintained.Address customer issues when necessary.Conduct job training and safety meetings.May deliver materials to customers when required.Independent decision-making required frequently.High level of concentration is critical to avoid errors or injuries.Work requires precise accuracy.Frequent interaction with general public (~2 hrs per shift).Regular interaction with supervisor and co-workers required.Roughly 50% of duties are repetitive and 50% change frequently.Approximately 65% of the workday is spent on essential duties; 35% on non-essential duties.Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent job-related experience.Hands-on work experience required.Previous managerial experience and demonstrated leadership skills required.Strong communication and organizational abilities.Ability to make independent decisions and resolve operational issues.Physical Requirements
