Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN to join the Cardiovascular ICU for night shifts, requiring IL RN license and Level 1 trauma experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a hospital setting
  • Night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Care for a cardiovascular patient population in a Level 1 trauma environment
  • Uses EPIC EMR, prior experience required
  • No floating, call, or travel partner arrangements permitted
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based cardiovascular critical care
  • Incorporate individualized patient and family education strategies
  • Participate in unit-based councils, quality improvement, and performance initiatives
  • Adhere to hospital and unit standards of care and national patient safety goals
  • Utilize lift equipment and safe patient handling practices as needed
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
  • No returning contingent staff are eligible without a 6-month break following one year of continuous assignment
  • Requested time off may not exceed 7 days during the 13-week contract

  • Active IL RN license or temporary permit required at time of consideration
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Minimum one year of relevant CVICU nursing experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Level 1 trauma experience required
  • Documented experience with EPIC EMR required
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
