Store/Tienda Position Overview

The duties and responsibilities of the position are to be carried out in a manner that is consistent with the goals, values and operating principles of Sedano's Supermarkets, and in conformity with all laws and regulations governing the company. Every employee is to follow the policies and procedures of their department as well as those of the company to ensure smooth operations. Every employee, regardless of job title, must maintain a professional appearance and friendly attitude, help keep the store stocked and organized, and provide excellent customer service on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

The truck driver loads the truck with groceries and merchandise for distribution from the Micro Fulfillment Center (MFC) to the designated Sedano's store locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for driving and delivery of pre-ordered merchandise to designated Sedano's stores.
• Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods.
• Check accuracy and stability of the load.
• Pick up company property
• Secure company assets
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures
• Retrieve, load and unload products and merchandise
• Operate department equipment and tools
• Keep work area clean, orderly, and free from safety hazards
• Promptly report maintenance and safety issues
• Report all accidents promptly to manager on duty
• Maintain punctuality and good attendance in compliance with company policies
• Performs other work-related duties as required to accomplish the objectives of the position

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; minimum of 18 years of age

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Class A Driver License
• Minimum 1-year experience as Delivery Driver
• Clean driving record
• Ability to read and speak English and Spanish preferred
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in both English and Spanish preferred
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in one-on-one and small group situations with directors, managers, customers (both internal and external) and the public
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form
• Good interpersonal skills
• Basic math, numeral recognition
• Takes responsibility for own actions
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
• Ability to work hours and days scheduled, including holidays and weekends

REQUISITOS MNIMOS - EDUCACIN Y/O EXPERIENCIA

Diploma de escuela secundaria o ttulo de educacin general (GED) preferido; mnimo 18 aos de edad

COMPETENCIAS, HABILIDADES Y/O CALIFICACIONES

• Licencia de conducir vlida de clase A
• Experiencia mnima de 1 ao como Delivery Driver.
• Registro de conducir limpio
• Habilidad para leer y hablar Ingls y espaol preferido
• Habilidad para entender y seguir las instrucciones tanto en ingls como en espaol.
• Capacidad para presentar informacin de manera efectiva y responder a preguntas en situaciones individuales y en grupos pequeos con directores, gerentes, clientes (internos y externos) y el pblico en general.
• Capacidad para aplicar el sentido comn para llevar a cabo instrucciones en forma escrita, oral o de diagrama.

The individual performs duties in a grocery store environment. He or she maintains frequent contact with supervisors, employees and customers. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.

In this position, there is the possibility of using knives, case cutters, stock cart, shopping carts, manual or electric pallet jack, stepstool, coolers, ice machines, pricing gun, crate opener, baler and cleaning supplies and equipment.
