PRIMARY PURPOSE : Provide assessment, individual, family and group therapy, and crisis intervention to patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : Under the general supervision of the Director of SUD Services, and within the agency’s and program’s policies and procedures, the Therapist performs the following :

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED : The individual must possess the knowledge, skills and ability noted below or be able to explain and demonstrate how they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some combination of skills and abilities. The individual must also possess the necessary physical capacities, with or without the aid of mechanical devices or other forms of accommodation, to safely perform the primary functions of the job. Working knowledge of diagnosis, treatment planning, medications, counseling and crisis intervention techniques.

TRAVEL : Some travel required to fulfill job responsibilities between two LRMHC offices.

SALARY : This position pays $57,000 for an unlicensed therapist and $63,000 for a State of NH licensed therapist.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education : Master’s Degree or higher in mental health counseling, social work, psychology, counseling or another related field as specified in He-M426-11 and He-M426-13 is required. Experience : One to five years’ experience in mental health, crisis intervention or medical setting or related position, offering direct mental health services preferred. Licensure / Certification : LCMHC, LICSW. MLADC required. License eligibility in NH as an LCMHC, LICSW, or MLADC preferred. Valid NH driver’s license, proof of adequate automobile liability insurance and reliable transportation is required.

HOURS : Full time, 40 hours per week, schedule varies

This is a grant funded position. The grant will run for five years and is contingent upon continued grant / restricted funding. The Agency will support you becoming a Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and provide monetary support in that endeavor.
