• Main Tasks :
• Gather financial documents and develop an understanding of each client's financial situation
• Review documents for accuracy before completing tax returns
• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations
• Provide tax planning advice to minimize liabilities and maximize refunds
• Client Interaction :
• Set up meetings with clients to discuss tax-related matters
• Communicate with clients to gather tax documents and resolve questions
• Educate clients on tax laws, filing requirements, and best practices for record-keeping
• Technical Skills :
• Proficiency in tax software such as TurboTax, H&R Block, or Lacerte
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify potential deductions
