You will be a critical component of the signals intelligence operations, leveraging your linguistic skills to identify, categorize, translate, and summarize foreign language communications from a specific location. This role is crucial as the nation's defense relies heavily on information obtained from foreign languages.
Key Responsibilities :
Operate and oversee signals equipment used in signals intelligence operations.
Conduct military briefings and provide intelligence insights to appropriate authorities.
Requirements : Be a U.S. Citizen.
Be between 17 to 34 years old.
Hold a High School Diploma or GED.
Meet tattoo guidelines.
Have no major law violations.
Have no medical concerns.
Certifications and Training :
Complete 10 weeks of Basic Training.
Participate in 5 to 20 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.
Score 85 or above on the Defense Language Aptitude Battery (DLAB) for active duty personnel.
Achieve a 101 ASVAB Score : Skilled Technical (ST).
Attend 36-64 weeks of education at the Defense Foreign Language Institute if not fluent in a foreign language.
