Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Chicago, IL 60612 (West Side) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Healthcare Setting : Level 1 Trauma Center – Operating Room Start Date : December 9, 2025 End Date : March 10, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 4x10-hour day shifts (12 : 00 PM – 10 : 30 PM) Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary : $2620 - $2690 Call Requirements : One 12-hour shift per month on a Saturday or Sunday (7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–7 AM) Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend (2 weekends per month) Floating : Required within 50 miles as needed Charting System : Cerner EMR Scrub Color : Navy Blue (provided) Parking : $2 / day with shuttle service Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand upon submission) BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred) Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience as an OR RN Level 1 Trauma Center experience required Proficient in both scrub and circulate roles Experience in Orthopedic Surgery, Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery required COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (no COVID-19 exemptions; medical / religious exemptions for Flu only) Ability to float to other units and healthcare facilities within 50 miles as needed Local candidates accepted (within 75 miles of facility) Preferred Experience Neurosurgery (craniotomy and spine procedures) Open Heart / Thoracic Surgery Ophthalmology ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) Bariatric and Gynecology Surgery OR RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center Scrub and circulate for a wide range of surgical specialties, including Orthopedics, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery Participate in call rotation (one 12-hour weekend shift per month) Float to other units and healthcare facilities within 50 miles as needed, supporting collaborative care Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic medical records Maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols Work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes Ready to take your Operating Room nursing career to the next level?
