CAD Integration Engineer (3 days in OFFICE in Plano, TX)

Here is the job description we have : The new offering is a product based in IntelliCAD, is it possible to get any additional detail on what that product will be used for (assuming consumer facing?) It is design-facing. The product is a CAD application used to lay out framing for housing. This team, specifically, is one of 3 focused on trusses. As the tech stack is primarily MSFT, I assume that the candidates will need a mix of C++, as well as .NET Framework experience, are there any other technologies that you would consider “must haves” vs. “nice to have”? C++, C#, knowledge of on-prem / cloud hybrid ecosystems. Is IntelliCAD a must have? No. Experience writing software for other CAD systems (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) will transfer nicely. We are seeing quite a few candidates with a Civil Engineering background, especially those with the CAD experience needed, do you have a preference on industry experience? This is not surprising. This background fits well but is not required. For those with this background, please lean into understanding if they truly understand software development using SOLID principles, abstraction, understand unit testing, etc. as those are sometimes missing skills.
