Outreach Coordinator

Summary :

Alianza Division of Catholic Charities Community Services is look for an Outreach Coordinator to support the Beacon Program's community outreach activities. Working closely with the Program Director, the Outreach Coordinator will forge relationships with youth who are chronically absent or have dropped out of school to persuade them to engage in school and with Beacon programming.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement an effective outreach plan for communicating with the school community, families, disengaged youth and young adults, community-based agency leaders and social services providers, neighborhood associations, and other stakeholders to promote the beacon program.
• Coordinate with the Activity Specialist to maintain the Community Garden and Food Pantry with SYEP participants during summer programming.
• Assist in program marketing, creating electronic and printable materials such as list-serves, flyers, brochures, mailing lists, directories, and other related outreach materials.
• Coordinate information gathering / sharing for participants regarding high school, college, and vocational opportunities.
• Provide general assistance with administrative tasks.
• Attend Department and Program meetings as directed.
• Other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Salary : $22.00 per hour - $25.00 per hour, this is a non-exempt hourly position based on a 35 hours work week or $36,400 -$41,860 annually.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work :

Full Time position : Monday to Friday 1 : 00-9 : 00pm and some Saturdays as needed.
