Position Overview
CITY ENGINEER
Under the direction of the Public Works Director, the City Engineer leads planning, design, construction oversight, and maintenance of the City's public infrastructure systems, including streets, utilities, stormwater, and transportation. This role provides engineering leadership, project management, development review, and supervises technical staff. See official job description for full details.
Minimum Qualifications :
Salary range : $88,535 to $115,519 (DOQ). The City offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including vacation, holidays, sick leave, health insurance (Regence or Kaiser; 85% City paid; Regence includes City paid HRA VEBA), defined benefit retirement plan eligibility at six months, life insurance, and long-term disability.
ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN I / II
We are recruiting for a technical support position that may be filled at one of two levels, depending on the candidate's skills and experience. Technicians support the Public Works Department in a variety of tasks, including surveying, drafting (Civil 3D), construction inspection, project documentation, contract administration, field data collection, and administering our right-of-way permit and backflow prevention programs. What We're Looking For
For the City Engineer role, we additionally expect demonstrated leadership ability and technical expertise in civil infrastructure engineering. For the Technician roles, we look for strong technical aptitude, software skills (e.g., CAD, GIS), and field competence.
