Rebuilding Together Greater Florida is seeking a Grant Development Manager to lead and strengthen our grant strategy across a growing statewide organization. This role guides the full lifecycle of grant development, from identifying funding opportunities and leading proposal development to managing reporting, compliance, and long-term funder relationships.
Working closely with leadership and program teams, the Grant Development Manager helps secure the funding that supports housing rehabilitation, disaster recovery, and community revitalization across Florida. This hybrid leadership role may be based in Tampa or Orlando, Florida.

About the Role
The Grant Development Manager leads and elevates RTGFLs grant strategy and oversees the full grant lifecycle from prospect research and proposal development to reporting, compliance, and funder stewardship.
This role supervises a team of grant writers and works closely with program, finance, and operations leaders to secure the funding that fuels RTGFLs mission and statewide growth.
This is a hybrid position based out of either our Tampa or Orlando office and reports to the Vice President of Development.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and mentor a team of grant writers, ensuring accountability, quality, and productivity
- Develop a multi-year grant strategy to support RTGFLs statewide expansion
- Set annual goals, KPIs, and manage the organizational grant calendar
- Ensure all submissions reflect alignment with RTGFLs mission and impact outcomes
- Grant Research, Writing & Submission
- Conduct in-depth research on government, foundation, corporate, and community funding opportunities
- Write, edit, and oversee proposals, LOIs, budgets, narratives, and supporting materials
- Ensure timely, compliant submission of all grant applications and reports
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure budget accuracy and funder alignment
- Reporting, Compliance & Data Management
- Manage interim and final reporting, performance data, and impact storytelling
- Maintain systems for deadlines, submissions, reporting schedules, and award tracking
- Partner with program teams to gather client stories, service numbers, outcome data, and photos
- Relationship Building & Stewardship
- Cultivate strong relationships with funders, program officers, grant managers, and partners
- Attend virtual funder sessions, briefings, and networking opportunities
- Support stewardship efforts such as updates, thank-you communications, and site visit coordination
- Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Construction, Intake, Finance, and Program leadership
- Support storytelling and content needs for broader development initiatives
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelors degree in nonprofit management, communications, business administration, public relations, English, or related field (Masters preferred)
- 5+ years of grant writing and grant management experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Proven success securing government, foundation, and corporate grants
- Strong understanding of grant mechanisms, compliance, and nonprofit budgeting
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce/CRM experience preferred
- Strong commitment to RTGFLs mission and values

- $526.16/month (single)
- $900/month (all other statuses)
