KNN is a small and highly impactful organization that is making a difference for the success of nonprofits in Kentucky. We are expanding our team to enhance our ability to engage, partner, and collaborate with new and existing members in Northern Kentucky.
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders. You will need strong knowledge of nonprofit advocacy and legislative processes – particularly in local government, experience setting legislative priorities, and building consensus. You will also need an understanding of the nonprofit sector, particularly experience as a nonprofit executive or c-suite leader. Exceptional facilitation and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively articulate complex issues to diverse audiences is essential.
Kentucky Nonprofit Network has served as Kentucky’s state association for 23 years. We exist to advance and empower Kentucky’s nonprofit organizations to strengthen Kentucky communities. KNN has over 1100 members statewide and is continuing to grow. We are the unified public policy voice of Kentucky’s nonprofit sector. We are THE source for information, professional development, resources and time-saving member benefits for nonprofits across Kentucky. Our team is small. And we are also mighty and passionate about helping nonprofits succeed. We offer a remote and hybrid work style and the opportunity to work with Kentucky’s amazing nonprofits leaders and volunteers. Are you a dynamic nonprofit leader passionate about driving positive change through charitable nonprofit collaboration and advocacy engagement? If so, KNN would like to speak with you about our opportunity!
As a Director of Regional Engagement and Advocacy with KNN, you will be at the forefront of building and nurturing diverse and powerful advocacy coalitions that amplify the collective voice of the charitable nonprofit sector. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving policy changes and partnerships that benefit nonprofits, and the individuals and communities’ nonprofits serve. You will drive the recruitment of KNN memberships and support and facilitate the creation of a unified advocacy voice and collaborative coalition to ensure a seat at the decision-making tables that impact the work of charitable nonprofits.
Qualifications
Specifically, this position will help launch and facilitate KNN's Northern Kentucky Nonprofit Coalition, a new local alliance of KNN members, and work to support public policy advocacy and collaboration / coalition -building among nonprofits in the target communities. This is a full-time, salary / exempt, remote position based in the Northern Kentucky area with a starting salary of $85,000-$115,000, and generous benefits that include :
