Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Sector is seeking an experienced leader to fill the Manager Digital Engineering 2 position in the Networked Information Solutions & Payload Ground Systems (NIS & PGS) organization based in Baltimore, MD.

What You'll Get To Do :

The Digital Technology Manager role involves balancing both the overall functional oversight and management of a team of 10-15 digital engineers as well as performance of productive work on a program or several programs. The management side involves leading a team of FPGA / firmware and digital hardware design engineers of varying experience levels.

Responsibilities include :

• Staff & Workload Planning : Forecast staffing needs and allocate workload to meet project goals and budgets.
• People Management & Development : Build inclusive teams, set goals, train, coach and provide performance feedback.
• Talent Acquisition & Retention : Recruit top engineering talent and implement strategies to keep them engaged.
• Technical Leadership : Lead digital engineering projects and conduct design reviews to ensure quality.
• Inter-Program Coordination : Lead IPT, coordinating across teams to align schedules and resolve dependencies.
• Business Development & Proposal Support : Offer technical consulting for proposals to win new business.
• Change Management : Champion initiatives that drive organizational change for competitive advantage.
• Work closely with the directors and managers of other engineering disciplines, program directors and program managers.

This position is contingent upon the successful transfer of an active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain or maintain Special Program Access (SAP).

This positions standard work schedule is a 9 / 80. The 9 / 80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range : $149,400.00 - $224,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
