Position Overview

The Outside Service Sales Representative will drive the growth of NTD Mechanical's HVAC service business , focusing on preventive maintenance contracts, retrofit opportunities, and equipment replacement sales. This is a newly created role designed for a self-starter who thrives on relationship building, consultative selling, and developing new markets.

You will be instrumental in shaping the long-term service strategy for NTD Mechanical — turning one-time construction clients into ongoing service partners and building new business relationships across the DFW area.

Key Responsibilities – What You'll Do

Business Development

  • Generate new HVAC service sales opportunities, including maintenance contracts, retrofits, replacements, and energy upgrades within commercial, institutional, and light industrial markets
  • Build and maintain relationships with building owners, property managers, and facility leaders
  • Develop and manage a qualified service sales pipeline through networking, outreach, and CRM tracking

Account Management

  • Manage and renew existing service agreements to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Partner with Service team to address issues, ensure quality delivery, and identify add-on opportunities such as energy upgrades, controls, or IAQ improvements
  • Collaboration & Reporting

  • Coordinate with Estimators and Service Managers to convert project clients into long-term service customers
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, client activity, and KPIs in a CRM
  • Provide feedback on market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy
  • Qualifications - What You'll Bring

  • 4+ years of HVAC service sales, mechanical contracting, or building services experience.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC equipment, maintenance agreements, and retrofit solutions.
  • Proven ability to prospect, present, and close
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; CRM proficiency.
  • Self-sufficient, self-motivated, and client-oriented — someone excited to build a book of business from the ground up.
