Purpose:
· Coordinate and provide guidance, counseling and encouragement to clients.
· Assist the Manager with the daily operations of the site and direct service staff.
· Implement and document client progress, in accordance with individualized rehabilitation service plans.
Supervision Received:
· Receives general supervision from the House Manager.
Supervision Exercised:
· Provide general supervision to the Peer Specialist
Qualifications:
· Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, healthcare or a related field and 2-3 years of relevant experience in the Behavioral Health field; or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required.
· Good communication skills, both oral and written.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Some knowledge of Behavioral Health systems and supports.
· Prior supervisory experience, helpful.
Scope:
· Requires the ability to lift, carry, fold, kneel, reach, stack, stoop and bend which may include direct intervention with residents.
· Possess manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
· May be required to possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record (contingent upon facility location, client and program needs).
· May require crisis intervention in emergency situations.
· May be required to report to work during emergencies, including inclement weather.
