Objective of Position

The Asset Manager Equipment Leasing is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of equipment leasing operations, with a focus on origination strategy, residual value optimization, portfolio performance, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and a proven ability to lead teams and drive results across diverse equipment markets.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead origination strategy across multiple channels : Compact Utility, Computer, General Construction Equipment, Healthcare, Material Handling, and Technology.
• Establish and refine residual value methodologies for each market segment.
• Monitor industry trends in equipment economics, including supply / demand dynamics and pricing impacts.
• Guide disposition strategies through dealer and manufacturer networks to maximize asset recovery.
• Oversee financial modeling including time value of money and discounted cash flow analysis.
• Analyze business performance metrics such as submission / approval rates, decline trends, and loss pools.
• Track asset performance and usage throughout the lease term. Direct reserve and write-off forecasting and reporting.
• Ensure robust Excel-based analytics and reporting tools are developed and maintained.
• Set and manage residual positions across transactions and markets to optimize profitability.
• Coordinate end-of-term activities including inspections, returns, and renewals.
• Drive portfolio strategies to recover and dispose of leased assets with minimal loss.
• Collaborate with Collections and Legal teams to ensure timely and compliant asset retrieval.
• Champion system utilization and enhancements, particularly within the LTi platform.
• Ensure documentation workflows are efficient, compliant, and aligned with operational goals.
• Ensure compliance with lease agreements, environmental regulations, and internal policies.
• Maintain accurate asset records and documentation for audits and reporting.
• Support budgeting and forecasting related to asset operations.
• Maintain adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements related to equipment leasing.
• Manage logistics for deinstallation, transportation, and storage of returned assets.
• Maintain strong relationships with dealers, manufacturers, and lessees.
• Serve as liaison between sales, credit, and operations teams to ensure seamless asset transitions.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Physical Demands / Work Environment

Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices. At Byline Bank, we value work-life flexibility and support a hybrid work environment for this position. This role allows for a combination of remote and in-office work, with occasional visits to the office based on business needs. Specific in-office days may vary and will be discussed during the interview process.

Compensation & Benefits

Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels. The salary range for this position is between $115,000 to $130,000, plus bonus. In addition, Byline provides benefits including medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, paid time off and much more! Depending on the specific role, compensation may also include discretionary bonuses and other benefit programs. The actual compensation package may vary based on factors such as skill set, experience level, and candidate's location.
