Landfill Tipper Operator & Laborer
Rogue Waste Systems Dry Creek Landfill
Location : 6260 Dry Creek Rd., Eagle Point, OR
Work Schedule : Landfill operating hours are Monday - Saturday. 6 : 30 AM. - 6 : 00 P.M. Shifts are 8-10hrs / day depending upon service demand. Additional work on other days may be required as needed.
Workday includes 30 minute, unpaid, meal period and two paid 15 minute breaks.
Starting Pay : $24.00 / hr
Probationary Period : 90 Days

Must pass criminal background check, drug panel screening and motor vehicle report to be eligible for employment.
Position Responsibilities :
Facility maintenance including debris and clean upTraffic management.Operate landfill tipper & other small equipment as needed.Various utility tasks as neededPerform general office maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work.Learning the operations of LandfillSpecific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs changeWork in compliance with all Landfill required permits.Position Requirements :
A valid driver's license with clean driving record.Legible handwriting and basic communications skills. Ability to carry out oral and written instructions and read equipment instruction manuals in English.Comfortable using smart phone and tablet technology to record daily activities and communicate with team.At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position.Follow all required safety policies and procedures. Ability to work safely alone and with others.Works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness. Demonstrates good decision-making skills.Developing time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.Ability to work at a fast pace, responding to multiple tasks at the same time.The ability to continually lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout an 8-10 hr. shift.Experience operating equipment or mechanical ability is a plusWorking Conditions and Physical Effort :
Work involves constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bio hazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and / or loud noises.Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.Ability to safely climb on and off of heavy equipment in order to operate, clean and inspect.Complete and pass random drug and alcohol tests in accord with DOT and company standards.Conditions of Employment :
