Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Tax Manager.
Position Status : Full-time, Day Shift
Position Location : This position is remote. Remote Candidates must have residency in one of the following states : Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington State, West Virginia, Wyoming
Standard Working Hours : 8 : 00AM to 5 : 00PM (ET).
Position Summary :
This position reports to the Senior Director of Tax and shares responsibility with another Tax Manager for managing and facilitating the accurate preparation and filing of the system’s federal, state, and local tax returns.
The ideal candidate is a team player who manages the tax team to greater performance and ensures compliance with applicable tax laws through optimized processes designed to ensure accurate, timely reporting. The ideal candidate is also comfortable researching and advising on tax issues relevant to healthcare systems and collaborating with other system departments to identify and address potential areas of tax risk.

Washington State : Annual Compensation range : $113,000.16-$155,981.28

Job Summary

A bachelor’s degree in an accounting-related field and a current CPA license are required. Exempt organization and public accounting experience is preferred; healthcare or insurance industry experience is a plus.
