Welder - Submarine Building

The Fitter Welder II is responsible for welding and fitting jobs and making sure all weldments are welded within the right welding procedures and built to print in a timely manner. Based in Fort Worth, this position will report to the Team Lead and / or Supervisor of the department and will often work alongside other members of the manufacturing team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform welding tasks effectively using FCAW and GMAW in horizontal and vertical positions.
• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
• Heat form and dress metal parts using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment.
• Properly process necessary information on production routers.
• Perform assigned tasks under the direction of supervisor.
• Bring technical problems encountered to supervisor.
• Responsible for using safe working practices and for the safe operation of welding machines and equipment.
• Work to improve efficient to achieve productivity and delivery goals.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean & organized work area; utilize safe work habits.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
