Shift : Swing Shift, Monday - Friday, 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Must be able to train on day shift (7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM) for a couple months until fully onboarded

Position Overview :

Express Services, Inc. is assisting one of our valued clients in recruiting for a Machining Quality Inspector to join their precision manufacturing team. This is a high-level role ideal for individuals with a strong machining background and hands-on inspection experience. The associate will begin training on day shift before moving to swing shift, ensuring full confidence in the role.

The Machining Quality Inspector will be responsible for final inspections of custom-machined parts, first article inspections, and verifying accuracy using GD&T standards and precision measuring tools. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow established processes, and the interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of team members.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform final quality checks on custom-machined parts before outsourcing and upon return from vendors.
  • Conduct first article inspections on machined parts.
  • Monitor accuracy across parts for multiple customer specifications.
  • Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin gages, etc. to verify tolerances.
  • Ensure compliance with GD&T standards and manufacturing requirements.
  • Follow established processes and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and adapt to different working styles.

Candidate Profile :

  • Solid background in machining and tooling; experience with precision parts inspection.
  • Strong knowledge and application of GD&T.
  • Familiarity with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin gages, etc.).
  • CMM experience is a plus (training available if needed).
  • Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Team-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physically able to lift 40-50 lbs. and push / pull bins.
