American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of recent experience and active credentials to join our healthcare team.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital-based radiology ultrasound departmentPerform a variety of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, OB, head, extremity, retroperitoneal, small parts, vascular, and cardiac studies as requiredAdult and possible pediatric patient populationShift is Monday through Friday, 3 : 00 p.m. to 11 : 30 p.m., no weekends or callUtilizes Epic EMR system; prior Epic experience preferredNo floating required for this positionResponsible for preparing patients, performing ultrasound exams, and producing complete and accurate imagesAdministers IV and contrast as requiredParticipates in equipment maintenance, quality checks, and required documentationAssists with patient transport and collaborates with physicians and hospital staffEngages in continuing education and may provide training or mentorship to students and new staffCompliance with state, federal, accreditation, and hospital regulations is requiredFlu vaccination required during flu season unless a medical exemption signed by a physician is providedDress code and scrub requirements follow hospital policyReturning travelers may work up to one calendar year before a mandatory break is required\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 1 year current experience as an Ultrasound TechnologistActive ARDMS, ARRT, CCI, or equivalent ultrasound credential required (R.T.(S)(ARRT), RDMS(OB / GYN), (AB), (BR), RVT(VT), RDCS(AE), (PE), RCS)Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association requiredStrong communication, time management, and dependability skillsLicense required if applicableNo pending licensure at time of considerationCandidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility for travel eligibility\n Benefits\n
