Job description

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Equipment Manager, you will provide ongoing support for equipment, including coordination of work orders, maintenance activities, and record keeping for all equipment information. In this role, you will work closely with the fleet and equipment management teams, supporting preventive maintenance scheduling, equipment compliance, and forecasting for equipment replacement.

Essential Responsibilities :

Perform basic administrative duties including issuing work orders, updating preventive maintenance schedules, and record keeping

Forward planning to ensure the timely and most economical deployment of equipment as well as monitor utilizationand manage deployment, including suspension and timely disposition of under-utilizeditems

Update and maintain a variety of reports and tracking spreadsheets including updating certifications and compliance and maintaining equipment files

Coordinates the completion of preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections required to maintain compliance with company policy and state / federal regulations

Liaise with Operations team and mechanic / 3rd party to schedule maintenance, track breakdowns and record repairs

Monitor and report damage and abuse of owned / rental, which also involves tracking for corrective actions

Maintain effective reporting lines to management including equipment forecast information

Qualifications :

Four to five years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry

Knowledge of (US) transport regulations and maintenance processes and procedures as well as working

knowledge / experience with heavy equipment

Strong computer skills, including MS Excel

Ability to learn and understand software programs and new systems

Excellent interpersonal skills, combined with strong verbal and written communication skills

Previous experience in equipment inventory would be an asset.

Working Conditions :

This position will start out as a remote position then transition to a hybrid style splitting time between home and the office
