The Switch Truck Driver / Forklift Operator is responsible for moving tractor trailers to and from the loading docks and parking loaded or empty trailers in designated areas. Please note this is a dual role of majority forklift operator, with some yard jockey duties.
All driving is expected to be completed safely in accordance with all Company policies and state / federal regulations. Responsible for fueling, moving and parking tractors and trailers to the docks and parking the loaded or empty trailers in the designated areas. Requires attention to safety and cautious driving in the facility parking lot. Will also be responsible for loading / unloading trucks in our warehouse, and tracking inventory using our scanning system, removing pallets from the production line using a fork lift, placing them in designated warehouse racks with no damage, and perform stocking for palletizers, according to standard procedures.

Responsibilities :
Backing trailers into loading docks, loading and unloading trailersPerforming all necessary safety checks and following safety procedures; reporting any safety incidents or suspected hazardsPerform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required.Sorting trailers in drop lotOperating forkliftOperating palletizerLifting up to 50lbsOther duties as assignedSpecialized Skills / Knowledge :
CDL Class A License preferred1 year of Tractor trailer driving experience required, preferred food service or manufacturing facility.1 year experience operating forkliftStrong technical, interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving skills.Ability to operator palletizers, experience using photo eyes, proxies, machine controls, troubleshooting, etc.Physical Requirements The role requires the ability to :Stand on hard surfaces such as concrete for extended periods, up to 12 hours per shift
Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 poundsClimb stairs, ladders, platforms, and other structures on equipment or buildings to inspect, operate, maintain, or troubleshootBend at the knees, twist the back, and kneel as needed to access equipment for operation, maintenance, or troubleshootingWork indoors and outdoors in varying seasonal temperatures and humidity levelsFunction effectively in areas of high noise while using proper personal protective equipment (PPE)Night Shift : 6 : 30pm-7 : 00am on a 2-2-3 rotational schedule
