Position Overview
Akicita Federal is seeking skilled and compassionate Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists to provide routine and emergent therapy services within outpatient clinical settings. This role supports continuity of care for a culturally diverse patient population, ranging from infants to elderly adults. Candidates must prioritize quality outcomes, professionalism, and culturally sensitive care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized rehabilitation plans based on presenting conditions.
- Deliver therapeutic treatments for neurological, musculoskeletal, post-surgical, chronic, and acute conditions.
- Treat an average of 10 patients per eight-hour day across all age groups.
- Provide ongoing patient re-assessments and adjust plans of care as necessary.
- Document all patient interactions, progress notes, and follow-up recommendations within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with referring providers, nursing staff, and support personnel on care strategies and progress.
- Educate patients and families on goals, therapy activities, and recommended exercises.
- Submit required billing, credentialing, and payer enrollment forms as instructed.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, safety briefings, and required staff training.

White Earth Health Center Ogema, MNNay-Tah-Waush Health Center Mahnomen, MNMondayFriday, 8 hours per day, scheduled between 7 : 00 a.m. and 4 : 30 p.m.Excludes federal holidays.No overtime authorized for this position.Minimum Qualifications
U.S. Citizen or otherwise eligible to provide patient care under a federal contract.Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy program.Active, unrestricted state license (any U.S. state accepted).Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Ability to obtain clinical privileges through the facility medical staff process.Successful completion of required background checks.Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical records.Ability to type, enter clinical documentation, and navigate computer systems efficiently.Completion of required cybersecurity and compliance courses.$120,000 - $140,000 a year
