Entry Level Field Surveyor Role Description : Huitt-Zollars has a great full-time opportunity for an Entry Level Surveyor at our Dallas, TX office. This role will support the Survey Party Chief in the field as required for field survey work. No experience required. Must enjoy and have physical capabilities to work outside in the elements.

Employment type : 40 hrs / Full-time

Compensation Type : Hourly

Duties :

• Support the Survey Party Chief in the field as required for field survey work for a wide array of projects such as boundary, topographic mapping and construction staking and other tasks.
• Ensures the safety of personnel and equipment.
• Searches legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed
• Assist with preparing preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys
• Assist with verifying accuracy of field survey data including measurements and calculations conducted on survey projects.
• Assist with quality control checks of plats and drawings prepared by other technicians.
• Ensure schedules and productivity objectives set by a supervisor for preparation of survey plats and drawings are achieved.
