Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and providing therapy to individuals with communication disorders. This role involves managing treatment through direct therapeutic services, tracking progress, and offering consultative support as needed. The position is ideal for a skilled therapist who can work with children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum disorders, acquired brain injuries, neurological diseases, and comorbid mental health disorders. The SLP will implement highly technical clinical and teaching programs, requiring attentiveness and readiness to respond to students' needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Master's Degree as a Speech-Language Therapist from an Educational Services Board approved university program
- Experience with augmentative communication and dysphagia
- CCC-SLP certification from the ASHA and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist with Massachusetts
- Experience and / or training in augmentative communication, manual communication, and clinical or practicum background with Developmentally Delayed, Emotionally / Behaviorally Disturbed, Cognitively Challenged, Autism, Pervasive Development Disorder, and Brain Injured individuals
