This Regional Outreach and Engagement Specialist will be a member of the Opioid Response Network (ORN).

The primary duties of this Regional Outreach and Engagement Coordinator include, but are not limited to :

Cultivate and maintain relationships with key regional stakeholders, partners, and collaborators to amplify the Opioid Response Network's reach and impact.

Coordinate, attend, oversee, and evaluate outreach events tailored to regional needs and / or underserved communities within the region.

Oversee regional outreach activities, including consultant engagement and networking.

Coordinate with Opioid Response Network (ORN) marketing team at American Academy Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP) to market ORN in the region such as conference exhibiting.

Respond to technical assistance requests and facilitate planning, communication, and provision of appropriate technical assistance for individuals and organizations.

Travel will be required up to 25%.

The percent effort devoted to the above duties may fluctuate depending on the project's and funder's needs.

The work location will be in HHS Region 5 (IN, IL, MI, MN, OH, WI). Preferred that applicant be located in IN, IL, MI, MN, OH, or WI, but not required.

Key Job Responsibilities :

• Reviews recommendations for and provides input on the design and development of new outreach programs or services
• Develops and implements operating policies and procedures to promote the outreach program in alignment with the strategic plan
• Determines outreach program needs and the personnel resource allocation plan
• Monitors the unit or program budget and approves program expenditures
• Supervises the implementation of outreach-program-focused strategic planning initiatives and objectives

Compensation :

The typical starting salary for this position will $70,000 for experienced candidates. Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications. Required Qualifications :

At least 2 years of program administration or program coordination and technical assistance systems

Preferred Qualifications :

Ability to collaborate effectively with substance use and mental health state and community agencies from a wide variety of disciplines

Experience in event planning, community outreach, and / or marketing

Knowledge of and / or experience working in the field of substance use disorder prevention, treatment, or recovery support

Excellent attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills

Flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions and problem solve

Ability to work as part of a team, set goals and work independently to manage both short- and long-term responsibilities

Extensive virtual / remote work is involved

Education : Bachelor's degree
