Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Stepdown / IMC-DOU position requiring a current CA RN license and advanced certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the IMC / DOU Stepdown unit within an acute care setting
  • 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00pm to 7 : 00am
  • Required to work every other weekend with first to float status
  • Cerner EMR is used for charting
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Pass / Fail testing on sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes required on first day of orientation
  • Must pass Relias Dysrhythmia exam (basic or advanced) if working in the Sacramento, CA region before an offer can be confirmed
  • No candidates who have been employed directly by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity in the last year will be considered
  • 12 hours of orientation are provided
  • First time travelers are welcome to apply

  • Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent stepdown or related nursing experience
  • Current certifications required : ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
  • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
  • Must provide a copy of a valid driver’s license
  • Two professional references : one supervisor from the past 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
