Endoscopy Technician Job Details

Location : Ithaca, NY (14850) – New York healthcare jobs

Facility Type : Hospital Endoscopy Unit

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (10 / 7 / 2024 – 1 / 6 / 2025)

Schedule : Variable day / evening shifts, 4x10 hour shifts per week (Monday–Friday, varied scheduled days off)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1130 - $1210

Employment Type : Travel healthcare position

Endoscopy Technician Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as an Endoscopy Technician or Gastroenterology Technician

Strong experience with Moderate Sedation (Mod Sed) and Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC); Mod Sed experience required

Prior travel healthcare experience preferred

Proficiency with ERBE equipment, clips, and snares

Ability to float between multiple hospital locations (CMC and CEC)

Relevant Endoscopy Technician certification (preferred)

Endoscopy Technician Responsibilities

Assist physicians and nurses in providing care to diverse patient populations with varying acuities and comorbidities

Set up, operate, and maintain endoscopy equipment, including ERBE and related accessories

Support endoscopic procedures involving Moderate Sedation and Monitored Anesthesia Care

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized hospital Endoscopy Unit environment

Float between CMC and CEC hospital locations as scheduled

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality clinical support and patient care
