REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / 2 years

Traveler Experience : Not required

Locals Accepted / Rate Difference : Yes

Skills : Teamwork approach to patient care, Focus on patient safety

Certs : ACLS and BLS

PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP : NIH, Neuro exp preferred, Experience / willing to learn the charge nurse role preferred

JOB DETAILS :

Ratios : 1 : 6

Shift : NIGHT 36 or 48 hours accepted. If 48, then no OT billed until after 48 hours.

13-26 weeks accepted

Float Requirement : yes, travelers float first

Weekend Requirement : 5-6 weekend shifts (equates to every other weekend)

Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and / or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.

PATIENT DIAGNOSES : General medicine, focus on neuro

UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication) : Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

SCHEDULING TYPE : Manager Schedules

UNIT ORIENTATION : 24 Hours

SCRUBS : Navy Blue

Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty

Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (18 : 45 - 07 : 15)
