Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to lead the management and optimization of our Agency Management System (AMS). This pivotal role ensures the AMS platform operates securely, efficiently, and in alignment with business goals across multiple office locations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AMS platforms (e.g., Vertafore AMS360, ImageRight), strong technical acumen, and a passion for user support and process improvement within the insurance agency industry.

Key Responsibilities :

System Administration & Maintenance

  • Oversee user account setup, permissions, data integrity, and regular backups
  • Approve and implement system changes and updates
  • Handle technical AMS issues and troubleshooting

User Support & Onboarding

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for AMS-related issues
  • Deliver training sessions and ongoing support to staff, including training new employees
  • Set up new hires with profiles, VSSO, and product access
  • Send welcome emails with login credentials and system links
  • Optimization & Reporting

  • Monitor system performance and implement automations
  • Create custom reports and dashboards using My Agency & Classic Reports
  • Pull renewal reports and enter data into ImageRight
  • Support reporting and analytics across departments
  • Integration & Vendor Management

  • Manage integrations with ePay, Comulate, Agency Revolution, ModAdvisor, and accounting software
  • Participate in monthly Vertafore meetings and escalate critical issues
  • Act as the main RSP (Resource Pro) contact and communicate updates to internal teams
  • Assist in determining AMS / IR admin access requirements
  • Security & Compliance

  • Conduct regular security audits and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Implement best practices to maintain system security
  • Workflow & Documentation

  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, workflows, and integrations
  • Guide and assist team members via Tech Talk chat
  • Train interim team on cross-departmental workflows
  • Provide final documentation for handoff
  • System Tools & Content Management

  • Manage Proposal Builder, Brand Updates, Form Letters, and Waivers
  • Complete remaining ePay and AMS suspense work
  • Assist with Book of Business transfers and open items
  • Qualifications :

  • Prior hands-on experience managing and optimizing Agency Management Systems (AMS), such as Vertafore AMS360 or ImageRight, is required. Familiarity with insurance agency operations and workflows is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role managing AMS platforms
  • Strong technical skills in databases (SQL a plus), APIs, and network fundamentals
  • Familiarity with insurance agency workflows and business processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration across teams
  • Customer-focused mindset with dedication to high-quality support
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Vertafore, ITIL, CompTIA) are a plus
