Locum Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Emergency Medicine in Galesburg, IL

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Illinois, starting Jan 5, 2026. This role offers approximately 10 shifts per month, including 12-hour day and night shifts across weekdays and weekends. The ideal candidate will provide direct care in a fast-paced emergency department, collaborating with physicians and managing a diverse patient census. Job Details Location : Illinois Start Date : Jan 5, 2026 LOA : 30 days Provider Type Needed : Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner Schedule : Monday 10am-10pm and 3pm-3am; Tuesday–Friday 10am-10pm; Saturday and Sunday 12pm-12am; estimated 10 shifts per month Responsibilities and Duties Provide direct patient care in the emergency department Conduct patient assessments and perform necessary procedures Manage acute emergencies in a high-volume setting Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Assist with daily management of a census of approximately 60 patients Ensure accurate and timely documentation and communication Additional Information Must be board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine Active Illinois state license required DEA and Illinois CSR licenses required Certifications required : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
