Position Overview :

The Statistician will apply advanced quantitative methods to determine whether NFIP actions contribute to measurable ecological outcomes, supporting compliance with federal environmental requirements and informing evidence-based program decisions.

Key Responsibilities :

Required Qualifications :

Ability to develop and apply causal inference techniques (e.g., regression modeling, etc.) to evaluate program effects.

Knowledge of statistical analysis or machine learning techniques and how to apply them to large datasets Particular emphasis on casual inference techniques and application of these techniques to analyze large datasets and identify potential relationships Experience advising clients and internal teams on best-fit approaches for quantitative analysis Ability to clearly convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders and provide writing samples Ability to critically evaluate statistical approaches and outputs, and make recommendations based on those evaluations Proficiency in R, Python, SAS, or other advanced statistical software.
