Job Title : Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. You will be responsible for quickly responding to equipment breakdowns, participating in an on-call rotation for after-hours support, and conducting basic fabrication and part modifications to improve equipment reliability. Additionally, you will support and train Production Operators on equipment use and basic troubleshooting, maintaining a strong safety culture by following all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
• Respond swiftly to equipment breakdowns, including after-hours support through an on-call rotation.
• Conduct basic fabrication and part modifications to enhance equipment reliability.
• Support and train Production Operators on equipment use and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a strong safety culture by adhering to all safety procedures such as Lock-Out / Tag-Out and PPE.
• Use a tablet-based CMMS to manage and complete work orders efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding equipment status and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with USDA regulations, GMPs, food safety standards, and internal protocols.
