Telemetry RN Job Details Location : Louisville, KY 40207 Assignment Length : 13 weeks Start Date : December 1, 2025 End Date : March 2, 2026 Healthcare Setting : Neuro Stepdown / Telemetry Unit Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Patient Ratio : 1 : 4 Weekend Coverage : 1 weekend shift per month Charting System : EPIC Estimated Weekly Salary : $1950-$2000 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry or Neuro Stepdown RN experience Active Kentucky or Compact Registered Nurse license (required at submission) BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Proficiency with EPIC charting system Successful completion of advanced dysrhythmia (EKG) competency exam Community hospital nursing experience required Two professional references required COVID-19 vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Previous charge nurse experience preferred Telemetry RN Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care in a monitored neuro-spine / telemetry unit for adults and geriatrics Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; respond to rapid response and code situations Administer medications, titrate cardiac drips, and follow heparin protocols Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and manage central, PICC, and peripheral lines Care for patients with feeding tubes, pre / post hemodialysis, renal failure, and surgical drains Manage respiratory interventions : CPAP / BIPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy care, and ABG interpretation Support patients with neurological conditions (CVA, TBI, pre / post neurosurgery) Implement wound care, wound vac therapy, and isolation precautions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services Float to other nursing units as needed within scope of practice Discover rewarding travel nursing jobs in Louisville, Kentucky and make a difference in patient care.
